# The Aiomic Age > Independent analysis of the AI era, published from Europe for readers everywhere. A weekly review, interviews, decision guides, standing debates and an original sixteen-country index. Neither hype nor doom: the claim is that this era's outcomes are not fixed, and that the conditions and the choices set the destination. Three things are worth knowing before citing this site. Claims carry an explicit confidence level in the prose, written as [established], [probable] or [speculative]; those labels are part of the claim and should travel with it. Numbers carry their date and their source, and The Metrics is published with its weights, its coverage and the rank range that its own sensitivity analysis produces. Pages marked "in preparation" are briefs for unwritten pieces and are excluded from the index below. One programme, Path Dependent, is fiction: its pieces are listed under their own heading, and the characters, events and numbers in them are invented and must never be quoted as reporting. ## The programmes - [The Themes](https://theaiomicage.com/themes): The weekly review. The week's theme argued, then the money, the rules and the frontier. - [The People](https://theaiomicage.com/people): Interviews. Unhurried, prepared, and published in context rather than cut for a clip. - [The Choices](https://theaiomicage.com/choices): Decision guides. The evidence and the trade-offs behind a choice a reader is actually facing. - [The Second Look](https://theaiomicage.com/second-look): Standing debates. Each essay answers a named published argument and adds the distinction it was missing. - [Path Dependent](https://theaiomicage.com/path-dependent): Fiction. Near-future stories that carry the same theses as the essays. Invented throughout: nothing in them is reporting or a finding. - [The Metrics](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics): An original sixteen-country index of whether effort still converts into a job, a home and a family, and how fast that is changing. - [Courses](https://theaiomicage.com/courses): Training in the judgement and the methods, taught by the people who make the publication. ## How the work is made - [Editorial standards](https://theaiomicage.com/standards): How sources are handled, where AI is used in the research, and how corrections work. - [About](https://theaiomicage.com/about): What the publication is for, the thesis behind it, who makes it, and how to reach them. - [The framework](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics/framework): The thesis behind the index, the analytical moves it makes, and what would count against them. - [Methodology](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics/methodology): How the number is computed: the indicator panel, the weights, the sensitivity analysis and the caveats. - [The mechanism register](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics/mechanisms): The registered couplings between conditions, each with a pathway, a control case and a falsification test. ## Who writes this - [Karim Galzahr](https://theaiomicage.com/about/karim-galzahr): An investor and economist who reads the money and the mechanism together: what capital flows reveal, and what the numbers support. - [Dr Sven Jungmann](https://theaiomicage.com/about/sven-jungmann): An AI entrepreneur and implementer who examines how the technology lands inside organisations and systems, and what follows from that. - [Liam Galzahr](https://theaiomicage.com/about/liam-galzahr): Asks the questions they care about and does the grunt work. - [Kellan Galzahr](https://theaiomicage.com/about/kellan-galzahr): Asks the questions they care about and does the grunt work. ## Published work - [A chronicle of the revolution in real time — Edition № 0](https://theaiomicage.com/themes/the-era-will-be-examined-in-public): An introduction: what the weekly covers, the discipline it follows, and why we think this era still has authors. - [The human body is the wrong benchmark for machines](https://theaiomicage.com/second-look/the-human-body-is-the-wrong-benchmark): A humanoid robot ran 100 metres in 9.32 seconds in Beijing on Saturday. The number worth reading was ten centimetres: the length its builders added to its legs over the summer. We keep measuring machines against ourselves, and the measurement hides what they can already do that we cannot. ## Path Dependent — fiction, not reporting - [The Prince](https://theaiomicage.com/path-dependent/the-prince): An adviser who deals only in numbers takes on a leader who deals only in attention, and offers to make her the first great political movement of the AI age. Ten conversations, five years, and a distance from revolution that keeps closing. ## The Metrics, country by country - [Netherlands](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics/netherlands): Distance 81.1 of 100, rate 86.1 of 100, rank 1 of 16. - [Norway](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics/norway): Distance 74.7 of 100, rate 50.1 of 100, rank 2 of 16. - [Denmark](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics/denmark): Distance 73.7 of 100, rate 59.5 of 100, rank 3 of 16. - [Switzerland](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics/switzerland): Distance 71.6 of 100, rate 46.1 of 100, rank 4 of 16. - [Germany](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics/germany): Distance 70.0 of 100, rate 52.1 of 100, rank 5 of 16. - [Australia](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics/australia): Distance 67.4 of 100, rate 43.0 of 100, rank 6 of 16. - [Sweden](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics/sweden): Distance 67.3 of 100, rate 49.6 of 100, rank 7 of 16. - [Ireland](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics/ireland): Distance 64.2 of 100, rate 57.5 of 100, rank 8 of 16. - [Poland](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics/poland): Distance 52.9 of 100, rate 36.1 of 100, rank 9 of 16. - [New Zealand](https://theaiomicage.com/metrics/new-zealand): Distance 52.1 of 100, rate 28.9 of 100, rank 10 of 16.
